“Welcome to Marland schools residential pages, on these pages you will find information that will help give you a flavour of residential life here at Marland.  The ‘Care Team’ at Marland is 18 staff strong, our main role is to provide high quality care and support to the residential students.  We base our practice on ‘Thrive’ principles, and all staff are qualified or working towards their Level 3 Care Certificate.  The Residential Care Managers and Head of Pastoral care, all have Registered Manager status or the latest equivalent.  Care staff also support their educational colleagues by being on learning support, here they use their strong relationships with the students to promote engagement in their lessons.  Hopefully, the following pages will give you an idea as to what the Care Team does at Marland and how we help support the holistic development of any student placed with us.” Gareth MacIver - Head of Pastoral Care
