Transition

In Transition the students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum incorporating both Key Stage 2 and 3 subject areas. The main emphasis in Transition is to re-engage students with learning through a nurturing approach and to focus on securing and developing numeracy and literacy skills.

 

Students also have the chance to attend Forest School one day per week while in Transition as well as having lots of other enrichment and Thrive® opportunities, from attending the Football Academy or Farm School, to Arts & Crafts and cooking in the Transition kitchen.

 

Students in Transition follow a Primary model where they predominately remain in the Transition Centre with the same Teaching & Learning staff and student group.
